Wedding Planner in Malta: Meet Fanny Gaudin, Founder of Signature Events

A passion I have carried all my life
Signature Events is, above all, where a passion I have carried since my early adult years finally led: organising, creating and bringing to life the moments that matter.
I have always been the one who takes things in hand, who imagines, anticipates and coordinates. At my friends’ weddings, the entertainment was left to me, the part everyone believes is secondary and which in fact makes everything, those small moments that make a celebration unique. And when it came to travelling, it was me, almost always me, who put the itineraries together, found the finest addresses and chose the visits, the stops and the places to stay, whether for my family or for friends setting off to discover somewhere new.
Over the years I have been lucky enough to travel widely and to discover very different cultures and ways of life, from Thailand to French Polynesia, from the Nordic countries to Mauritius, not forgetting the French Caribbean, which has become a yearly appointment. Those experiences have fed my curiosity, my eye for detail and my taste for well-conceived travel. Today they also allow me to advise my clients on their honeymoon and to suggest experiences that naturally extend the magic of their wedding. French Polynesia, the Caribbean, Thailand: dream honeymoon destinations, and the ones I know best. I know which island to choose, which season to travel in, and where you wake up without wanting to be anywhere else. A wedding is often only the first day of the journey. Let us carry it on together.
An international path, from Erasmus to import-export
International life has been part of my world for a long time. It began with an Erasmus year in Wales, at twenty, which gave me a taste for English-speaking cultures and an English that has never left me since. The years that followed took me into import-export, across several European countries: negotiating, coordinating, adapting to whoever sat on the other side of the table. A training I still draw on every day. In 2013 I chose Malta, and I have never regretted it.
Malta since 2013: an island I know from the inside
Living in Malta since 2013 has allowed me to discover the island as much as to understand it: its traditions, its culture, its hidden coves and quiet corners, its venues and, above all, its outstanding network of professionals. Over the years I have built relationships of trust and a concrete knowledge of the local people who make events, hospitality and food happen here.
And then there is everything that appears in no guidebook. Those places are not found by looking for them: you simply come to know them.
A Frenchwoman who has lived in Malta for more than ten years and stayed deeply open to the world: this is the double perspective I bring today to the couples and the companies who come from all over the world to celebrate their most important moments in Malta.
Living your wedding instead of managing it
It is the regret you hear most often from newlyweds: not having truly lived their own day. Pulled in every direction, answering suppliers’ questions, watching the clock and reassuring everyone, they look at the photographs afterwards and realise they were everywhere except present.
That is exactly where I come in. Organising a wedding in Malta is not simply a matter of bringing the right suppliers together: it means thinking through every stage, anticipating whatever might call for your attention and carrying it in your place. A detailed timeline shared with you from the first day until the morning after the ceremony. A visit to each venue at the exact hours of your celebration, so we know precisely where the light will fall when your photographs are taken. The coordination of guests arriving from several countries, the transfers, the crossings to Gozo. The paperwork with the Maltese authorities, from the first document to the marriage certificate. And on the day itself, one single point of contact for all your suppliers: me.
I first applied that standard to the entertainment at the weddings of people close to me. It is what guests still talk about years later. I brought a rigour to it that some found excessive. The timing, the transitions, the exact moment to set something in motion: nothing was left to chance, and it has remained my way of working.
My aim is simple: to give you calm, confidence and the certainty that every detail has been thought through and perfectly coordinated, so that the only memory you are left with is the memory of your day.
An uncommon culinary expertise
My professional path also brings a more unexpected kind of expertise: for more than twenty years I have worked in French gastronomy, where I produce foie gras and duck specialities.
That experience has given me a real knowledge of the product, of taste, and of the standards that lie behind a beautiful plate. I know how to judge an ingredient, how to talk to a caterer and, above all, how to recognise what will really make the difference for your guests.
It is an approach I bring naturally to Signature Events: beautiful events, but also culinary experiences, generous and full of pleasure.
Signature Events, an obvious step
Today, Signature Events brings together all of those passions and all of that experience: organisation, travel, discovery, food, an eye for detail and, above all, the pleasure of creating unique moments for other people.
I work with every couple and every company in a personal, attentive and bespoke way, turning their wishes, their ideas and their dreams into an experience that looks like them, never an off-the-shelf package.
Because a successful event is not only perfectly organised. It has to tell a story, create emotion and leave you, forever, with the finest memories of your life.
